Childhood: Michel-Philipe Dubé
was born of poor immigrant French-Canadian parents, in a cold, dusty suburb
just east of Patterson, New Jersey, then known as East Patterson. Little
did he appreciate his potential for helping humankind in those early years,
and it wasn't until the age of 2 that he demonstrated any consistent control
over bowel and bladder function. "Yeah, and I didn't even learn how to
light my farts until I was 11," recalls Dubé. "It was a constant
struggle".
